Trauma-Informed Support for Survivors of Domestic Abuse
Holistic services for women & professional partners working toward recovery, empowerment & safety
Who We Support
We support women who have experienced domestic abuse, including coercive control and post-separation abuse.
For many women, leaving the relationship does not mean the abuse, or its impact, ends. Navigating legal proceedings, social services, finances, housing and parenting while trying to rebuild independence can bring significant emotional and practical pressure.
SHIFTwithin bridges the gap between practical support and emotional recovery.
Our approach helps women understand how prolonged stress and abuse can affect the body, emotions, thinking and decision-making, while developing practical tools to feel safer, think more clearly, communicate effectively and rebuild trust in themselves.
Alongside our work with women, we use this experience to inform training and professional development for organisations working with people affected by domestic abuse. Our training combines an understanding of domestic abuse and coercive control with trauma-informed, body-based approaches to recognising and responding to the impact of stress, fear and overwhelm.
